2000-07-23 Major breakthough.

This release is the first one after a major rewrite of the code initiated by timecop. The end result of 3 weeks of our work is much more stable efone with a lot of new functionality added.

What's new:

• 3 different compression algorithms. It's usable even on 19.200 modems now.

• deep rewrite of the source code. It's much more readable now.

• new, multithreaded matching server.

• better stability and robustness.

• internal protocols docummented.

2000-07-04 New release with compression.

This release can be considered as a major breakthrough. Finally, nearly all functionality is in place (although it's still console based).
What can you expect:

• full support for the matching server.

• GSM compression so you can use it even on 56k lines (it uses 40k for full duplex GSM).

• improved stability.

2000-06-19 New major release of efone

This is next major release of efone. The user matching server is already in place. There is full support for it in the client. Also a simple web interface (using php) is ready. We have also added configuration file support. We are still looking for interested developers to join our team. We need aspecialy: - someone proficient in creating autoconf'ed application - coders with experience in gtk interface building - people interesed in sound compression - testers, testers, testers

2000-04-23 Initial release. Looking for developers.

I have released my internet phone type application today. It's similar to ICQ but with voice conferencing. The very basic voice client is ready at the moment and i'm looking for developers to help me enhancing it. Also normal users who can submit bug reports are more than welcomed. At this point there is NO compression in the application so you can only use it over ethernet.
